Davenport sits at the heart of Central Florida's fastest-growing immigrant corridor — Brazilian families along ChampionsGate, Venezuelans and Colombians moving into Solterra, and Disney workers commuting throughout the area. Our Orlando-based firm has served Davenport residents since this growth began.
Why Davenport clients choose our firm
Davenport has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Florida for over a decade, and that growth is largely driven by immigrant communities — Brazilian families in ChampionsGate, Venezuelan and Colombian arrivals in Solterra and Providence, Caribbean families across Highway 27, and Disney-area workers across the entire region.
Common Davenport cases include family-based green cards, EB-5 investor visas tied to vacation-home and short-term-rental investments, naturalization for established residents, and asylum cases for Venezuelan and Nicaraguan families. We also handle deportation defense for ICE actions tied to short-term rental compliance and traffic stops along I-4 and Highway 27.
Our office is in downtown Orlando, about 45 minutes northeast of Davenport on I-4. Many Davenport clients prefer to start by phone or Zoom and come in person once for document review. We work in English, Spanish, and through interpreters for Portuguese when needed.

What clients say
Mr. Gustavo Vargas was my lawyer twice, years ago for my immigration process and now for my husband's. He is extremely Professional and knowledgeable about the entire process. Both times it was a success story! Highly recommended. Thank you so much.alba inacio
A great service and organisation. He explained the process many times and provided detailed instructions every step of the way. When an issue occurred in the process (and through Covid) Mr Vargas clearly detailed what needed to be done and how.Ian Collins
Great service and I'm glad I paid my money to have his guidance.

Common questions from Davenport clients
I bought a vacation rental property — does that qualify me for an EB-5 visa?
A single vacation rental usually does not qualify for EB-5 on its own. EB-5 currently requires a $1.05M investment in a new commercial enterprise that creates 10 full-time U.S. jobs (or $800K in a Targeted Employment Area). Some vacation-rental and hospitality projects are structured as EB-5 regional center investments — but the qualifying structure is specific. We can evaluate your situation at the consultation.
Do you work with Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking clients?
Yes. While our primary languages are English and Spanish, we have worked with many Brazilian families in ChampionsGate and surrounding areas, using Portuguese interpreters as needed. The substantive immigration analysis (family-based, asylum, business visas) is the same regardless of country of origin.
My family arrived from Venezuela on TPS — what are our options for permanent status?
TPS itself is temporary and does not lead directly to a green card. However, options often available alongside TPS include: family-based petitions through a U.S. citizen or LPR relative, asylum based on conditions in Venezuela, or — in some specific scenarios — adjustment of status if the original entry meets certain requirements. We review eligibility for each at the consultation.
Are most consultations done in person or remotely?
For Davenport clients we usually start with a Zoom or phone consultation. If we are retained, we typically have one in-person meeting for document review and signatures. Most of the case work happens remotely, with you only attending USCIS interviews or court dates in person.
